A Bit About Me

Lizzy Green Millinery - Image.jpg

I love hats! So when I had the  opportunity to study millinery at Leeds College of Art, doing some of their fantastic evening classes, I jumped at the chance - and have been hooked ever since. Hats are wearable works of art and I love the creative process. I design and handmake all my pieces using traditional millinery techniques, steaming and blocking sinamay, straw and felt on wood hatblocks to create some of the gorgeous shapes you see here, then hand sewing, finishing and embellishing with beading, feathers and flowers to create a stunning final piece.

My headwear has been worn at Royal Ascot and numerous other race meetings, has graced the heads of mothers of the bride (and groom), wedding guests and has even spent time with the Royal Family thanks to the lovely Colonel Jane Davis, Vice Lord Lieutenant of Greater London.

I'm so grateful to all my lovely customers for giving me the opportunity to create something truly special and unique for them.
